New electric side loader contributes to sustainable waste collection

Meerlanden recently put a fully electric side loader into service for the collection of domestic waste in the municipality of Haarlemmermeer.

The vehicle is equipped with a 22 m³ body and a single grabber, allowing for efficient emptying of mini-containers. The side loader is mounted on an electric Scania-chassis and drives and empties completely emission-free.

With this investment, Meerlanden is reducing CO₂ emissions and significantly lowering noise pollution during collection rounds. The organization is thus making a tangible contribution to a cleaner and quieter living environment in Haarlemmermeer.
