More Efficient Waste Collection in Katwijk with New Magnum GPMs
The gemeente Katwijk is a step forward in improving waste collection and recycling with the recent addition of two new Magnum GPM crane units. These units, equipped with a 16-cubic-meter low body, are specifically designed for emptying underground crane bins recently installed in the municipality.
With the introduction of a new waste collection system starting January 1, waste separation is becoming increasingly important. The new underground waste containers make it easier to separately collect paper, organic waste, plastic and metal materials and residual waste. This also impacts the costs of waste collection.
The HIAB S-Hipro 230W crane offers an impressive lifting capacity and a reach of no less than 10.8 meters. This allows crane bins in increasingly busy urban environments to be emptied quickly and easily, enabling the team in Katwijk to move directly to the next location. The robust DAF XD chassis was chosen for this configuration.
With this delivery, Katwijk is ready for a more sustainable future. We are proud to contribute to this and look forward to more of these pleasant collaborations!
